Laemmle Theaters is the premiere art house chain in Los Angeles. A family owned business, spanning three generations, this theater chain is dedicated to bringing quality foreign film and quality American independent film to the Los Angeles community.

Laemmle Theatres has long been a supporter of the small, independent film maker. In that spirit, they are in the business of qualifying films for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards (A.M.P.A.S), IFP & SAG.

Facets Multi-Media, located in Chicago, Illinois and founded in 1975, is a non-profit media arts organization which provides an extraordinary range of film and video programs.

The world of Facets Cinematheque includes daily screenings of artistically significant films and videos in our two theaters, including festivals, director retrospectives, premieres, re-discoveries and special programs. Several times during the year, we offer evening courses in cinema history which are challenging, informative and provocative.

Ex-mayor Ed Koch, a very big film buff and now (among other things) a film critic wrote "The Quad is one of New York's best offbeat film houses".

Truly a New York institution, the Quad Cinema has been showing the best of foreign and independent films for over 25 years.  Family owned and operated, the Quad continues to book films which are unique, original, and intellectual to appeal to a loyal following of New York moviegoers.

Located in the heart of SoHo, the Angelika is a centerpiece of independent film exhibition in NYC. Showing the finest in independent films on six screens for over ten years, the Angelika has become a NYC cultural institution. The lobby, featuring the Angelika Café, has long been a great meeting place for NY film lovers.
